Field Trip: Water of Leith / Edinburgh illustrator meet-up
Free Events, Meet UpsJoin the Edinburgh illustrator meet-up for their first Field Trip, as we learn about the Water of Leith and go drawing together!
Meeting at the Water of Leith Visitor Centre, we’ll start off our Field Trip with the exhibit followed by going out into nature for drawing.
We welcome illustrators from all backgrounds, styles, and experience levels to join us – regardless of if you are a member of the AOI or not, so please come along, bring something to draw with, something to draw on, and invite other illustrators along, too! It might also be good to bring along water, and dress appropriately for the weather.
On the field trip, we’ll be:
- Doing some fun and low-pressure drawing
- Meeting new folk
- Exploring the Water of Leith
Come along to the Water of Leith Visitor Centre from 11am – 1pm on Sunday the 29th of June 2025, grab a drink, say hello, and meet fellow Edinburgh illustrators.

Accessibility:
The Water of Leith Visitor Centre is wheelchair-friendly, and is very close to bus stops. The Water of Leith paths will likely have some uneven parts, and may have some steps in the woods. We can get more information for you in advance if needed.
